You’re stopped at a stoplight when you glance toward the high school campus and see them walking toward each other across the football field. Jeff’s been showing up to summer football practice. He thinks they’re gonna have a real good year. Mary’s teaching SAT prep to sophomores. She’s got early admission to Penn but she’s planning to make her last year count.

I will be one of the judges at tonight’s edition of Todd Zuniga’s “Literary Death Match,” the reading show that is fun! I was a reader at a previous edition of this show (and lost in the finals thanks to my balcony basket dunk being a millisecond late) and it was a great time. Readers read, judges (me) say stupid shit pretending to evaluate them, then two readers go onto the finals where they have to play basketball or compete at table tennis or whatever Todd’s dreamed up this time. Come out!
